🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 In England we have a royal family. Look at pictures of Buckingham palace and the Crown Jewels. Let’s get creative!  👑 Make a crown for the children to wear and pretend to be the queen for the day. 👑

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The Queen loves a good cup of tea. Show the children the simple steps of making tea. Let them have a go with cold water. If they are still learning to blend, verbally sound out some of the words while instructing them to make the tea. Then let them have a go with teabags in a mud kitchen or water tray.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿If you were the Queen and you could do anything you wanted in England. What would you want to do and why? (Please let me know the children answers to this!)If it’s something you can do, go and do it, if not role play it, look at it or imagine it. It’s really important to encourage children and adults to dream big. England is a great place with so much to see and do!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿The capital city of England is London. An average of 2.7 million Tube journeys are made on the London Underground every day. Dig down in the garden and show the children what underground means. Then talk about and look at different landmarks in London such as Big Ben. Children can have a go at constructing these too.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Make England’s flag together, then look at the card and the shape of England, show the children where In England they live on the map.
