Count up and down on the stairs...
Put the number flashcards up the stairs on the wall. Children have to count going up the stairs and then count backwards coming down the stairs.
If you have a paintbrush… with nothing on I would get them to say the rhyme as they go over the top of the card or “paint” next to the number on the stairs stating the rhyme too. Focus on one number if they havn’t done this before. You can also use a Teddy to do this or anything with arms like a puppet just to make it a little more fun.
Adapt where you feel necessary.
